Key Functions
- Overall responsibility for managing warehousing activities includes effective inventory management to ensure timely preparation of finished goods (FG) for distribution. This involves receiving inbound inventories and maintaining housekeeping to achieve On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Lead and guide the warehouse team in routine tasks and procedures while managing discipline and job performance, assisted by foreman and team leads.
- Monitor, manage, and drive operational results to ensure that internal KPIs are met and exceeded.
- Initiate, drive, and follow up on continuous improvement activities by implementing the operational system and tracking progress through agreed-upon KPIs.
- Manage, monitor, and control inventory by conducting stock counts, reconciling variances, and updating both the system and physical inventories. Ensure that IFS parameters are maintained in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage, maintain, measure, and lead improvements in HSEQ-related aspects of work and work areas, including housekeeping and 5S practices. Follow HSEQ requirements and execute procedures and guidelines in compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Report any near misses or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Overall responsibility for inventory documents, all other internal documents, and the control and monitoring of the warehouse system.
- Build, develop, and strengthen key personnel within the function by establishing succession plans and ensuring high sustainability within the department through knowledge transfer, job rotations, on-the-job coaching, regular performance reviews, and promoting self-development within the
team. - Undertake regular reviews of work methods and performance related to the warehouse through periodic performance measurements, cross-functional reviews, and meetings with customers and suppliers to ensure that relevant KPI targets are met and exceeded.
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Minimum 5 years experiences in warehouse, logistic and planning with people management.
- Multitask, active manage and control loading bays.
- Strong MS Excel skills to analyse and prepare periodic load plans.
- Knowledge and familiar with standard warehousing documents and standards; shipping/logistics documents and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution skills, problem-solving skills.
- Good in written & spoken English
