Job Purpose

Manage, plan, supervise, and control engineering and structural design activities, including design review and evaluation, permanent and temporary structure design, construction methodology, and providing engineering consultation and solutions in collaboration with project teams.

Ensure that construction works are accurate, appropriate, safe, and in accordance with engineering principles and standards. Lead and develop the design team to effectively support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate the strength, stability, and suitability of structural designs, and provide engineering recommendations prior to construction.
• Design, calculate, and analyze Reinforced Concrete Structures and Steel Structures in accordance with project requirements and applicable engineering standards.
• Analyze structural engineering problems and develop, improve, or recommend practical engineering solutions suitable for actual site conditions.
• Design, calculate, and review temporary structures required for construction, including determining appropriate specifications and usage methods based on project requirements and site conditions.
• Prepare, review, and provide recommendations on Method Statements for structural works, ensuring that construction procedures are consistent with the design, site conditions, and engineering principles.
• Plan and design site temporary works required to support construction activities, considering site conditions, usage requirements, and project constraints.
• Conduct structural inspections with project teams, analyze issues arising during construction, and provide engineering advice or corrective solutions to ensure proper and effective project execution.
• Plan, assign, supervise, and monitor the work of engineering and design teams. Control the quality and timeline of drawings/design deliverables, while coaching and developing team members.
• Prepare and present design concepts, structural calculations, design methodologies, and engineering solutions. Clearly explain the rationale and design principles to management, project teams, owners, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in software and tools used for structural design, analysis, and calculations, and verify the accuracy and suitability of analysis results before implementation.

Job Specifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Professional License

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Thailand – Senior/Ordinary Level Civil Engineering License / Samam Engineer).

Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or project management.
• At least 5 years of management experience leading an engineering/design team or department at management level.
