Deputy Japanese Sales Manager (BD – JP Market)

Location: Bangkok (MRT Silom)

Salary Budget: THB 150,000 with TPT, fleet card and mobile phone allowance

Job brief: Experience in sales/business development Japanese market would be highly relevant

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Japanese customer portfolio across Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the
    Philippines, driving sustainable business growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Japanese customers, freight forwarders, and
    business partners across the region and in Japan.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer
    relationships to drive customer retention and business growth.
  • Act as the commercial bridge between ASEAN countries, Japan and Head Office to
    support business development and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support tender management, contract negotiations, and commercial reviews in
    collaboration with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand market presence and enhance the
    performance of the Japanese customer portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Japanese Sales team to achieve commercial objectives and deliver a
    high level of customer engagement and service excellence.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and customer developments to identify opportunities,
    mitigate risks, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, seamless service
    delivery, and successful implementation of customer solutions.
  • Promote a customer-centric culture by ensuring timely responses to customer needs and
    maintaining a consistently high level of service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain,
    International Business, or a related field.
  • Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven experience in sales, key account management, business development, or regional
    commercial leadership.
  • Experience working across ASEAN markets is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese customer expectations, business culture, and market
    dynamics.
