Position: Director of Training
Location: Bangkok
Company: Global Leading ATS Academies
Reporting to: Global Managing Director
Key functions:
- Take full operational responsibility for establishing, leading, and developing, including the new training site in Bangkok.
- Play a central, pioneering role as the very first formal employee in Bangkok to build the local organization from the ground up.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of Air Traffic Control (ATC) training and related services in strict alignment with our standards.
- Lead, motivate, and scale a growing local team of training staff and support functions.
- Build and manage a regional pool of Subject Matter Expert (SME) consultants.
- Closely collaborate with customers and partners to support business development and commercial activities within the region.
- Combine high-level operational leadership and people management with hands-on involvement in training delivery when required.
- Work closely with Training, Sales, and Marketing colleagues primarily based in Sweden.
- Involves travel within Southeast Asia and internationally as required by the business.
The candidate:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within ATC/ATM or aviation-related organizations.
- An operational Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) background and/or experience working within a training environment is highly preferred.
- Fluency in both verbal and written Thai, combined with a deep, strong understanding of Thai and Southeast Asian cultures.
- Strong business English communication skills for global collaboration.
- Proven track record in leadership and people management.
- A natural curiosity and keen interest in business and commercial development.
- Highly structured, confident in planning, relationship-oriented, and decisive with a strong desire to take ownership and build sustainable results in a growing setup.
